The delivery of two brand-new Volvo excavators to Poole Docks marks another important step in supporting ongoing work in Jersey. The EC27D offers impressive lifting capacity and stability for its size, making it a versatile choice for contractors who need performance without sacrificing manoeuvrability. Alongside it, the ECR25D brings the added advantage of a short-radius design, allowing safe and efficient operation in confined spaces—an important consideration for many Jersey sites. Accompanying the machines is a new Ifor Williams trailer, selected to ensure safe and straightforward transport once the equipment reaches the island. Also included in the shipment is a new OKB hydraulic hammer, adding further versatility to the package and enabling the excavators to tackle breaking and demolition tasks straight away.
