Handbrake cable Thwaites 5-7 ton approx 1992-1999 fitted with 5 studded axles

Description

Cable general fits Thwaites 5 to 7ton Thwaites dumper from year 1992 to 1999 when fitted with a ITL 5 wheel studded axles, over centre handbrake lever and rectangle handbrake pads located on rear of transmission. Cable is approximately 1950mm long with a fixed clevis to the handbrake calliper side and a 5/16 bsf threaded bar with clevis on the handbrake lever end, the outer sleeve is approximately 1700mm long from the tip of the thread one end which has an adjuster nut to the tip of 22mm metal sleeve with fixing circlip the other end.

The handbrake cable links the handbrake lever to the parking brake to stop the vehicle from rolling away. Frayed or broken cables are dangerous and must be replaced
