Description
Cable general fits Thwaites 5-7 ton dumper 2005 onwards and 9-10 ton dumper 2002 onwards when fitted with a lockable over-centre handbrake lever and cable goes to calliper on rear of transmission. Cable is approximately 1440mm long with a fixed clevis to the handbrake lever and an adjustable clevis to the handbrake calliper; the outer sleeve is approximately 1260mm long from the tip of the thread with two adjuster nuts to the tip of 19mm metal sleeve complete with fixing cir-clip the other end.
The handbrake cable links the handbrake lever to the parking brake to stop the vehicle from rolling away. Frayed or broken cables are dangerous and must be replaced
