At the start of the year, the Southwest was visited by storm Ingrid. The storm battered much of the Southwest Coastline but in Teignmouth, the seaside town had a wild night in which part of the iconic Victorian Pier was washed away by waves, and the favoured seafront visited by huge amounts of tourists every year was severely damaged.

This is an early morning picture of Volvo ECR25D with bio-degrade oil working on Teignmouth seafront repairing the damage caused by the severe storm at the beginning of the year. Working along the seafront can be quite a confined space, the ECR25D machine will be weaving in and out of the paths and grassed areas which makes this part of the Southwest so iconic. The Volvo ECR25D is a perfect machine to combat such an environment. With the ECR25D reduced tail swing model, the Volvo Excavator can fit and work between pathways and walls efficiently with plenty of space to spare to not cause any more unnecessary damage.
