The name Epiroc hasn’t been around for very long but has become an accepted name here in the UK. You always know when a name becomes accepted because people refer to it rather than its older name, in Epiroc’s case it was Atlas Copco and before that Krupp. The name change happened in 2018 and a mere 6 years later nobody ever talks about Atlas Copco anymore unless they’re talking about compressors and 6 years in our industry is a very short period of time. If you think back to Terex’s takeover of Benford dumpers which were manufactured in Warwick, it took over 10 years for people to stop talking about Benford dumpers and start talking about Terex and that was probably aided by Terex’s decision to paint the dumpers in white!!! Who an earth thought that was a good idea?
The name Epiroc is synonymous with quality products and, although not the cheapest, are recognised as the leading manufacturer of hydraulic breakers. From the smallest Epiroc SB52 beaker through to the Epiroc HB10000, all Epiroc breakers are made to the highest standards and built to last.
Figures have recently been released to show that Epiroc has a market share of 35.7% for hydraulic attachments here in the UK and if you drop down to the sub-category of hydraulic breakers they have a massive market share of 41%. Considering how many different manufacturers of breakers there are for sale in the UK to have a market share of that size is testament to the quality of the product.
So, if you’re in the market for a quality hydraulic attachment your first port of call should be talking to Mike or Laura here at PES who I’m sure will offer a very competitive price for the supply of one. We always keep Epiroc SB52, Epiroc SB102, Epiroc SB 152 and Epiroc SB302 in stock as well as genuine replacement chisels and points for them. If you’re after a Epiroc HB10000 I’m afraid that’s a special order, at over £185,000 we tend not to keep one of them in stock!!!!
