Now that the future of Mecalac dumpers has been secured with the takeover by the Fayat Group it puts confidence back in the market-place to continue buying Mecalac dumpers.
As PES is the largest supplier of dumper parts in the UK, Mecalac dumper parts are an integral part of our business and the future long-term success of it is dependent on Mecalac producing dumpers.
On a recent visit to the Mecalac factory in Coventry to meet the after-sales team it was good to see that confidence has returned and the staff were looking forward to a bright future. It’s not exactly a bouyant market at the moment with our incumbent Government trying its utmost to wring the last dregs of business confidence out of the economy, but the recent placing of a large order for 9 tonne dumpers with Mecalac had certainly helped boost morale.
The export success of the Mecalac Revotruck 9 has also been a game changer. This unique vehicle sits between the original and first-to-market Wacker Neuson DV90 rotating seat dumper and the Hydrema 912G rear dump dumper. The revolving cab concept has been transferred over to the Mecalac Revo 990, the world’s first innovative rotating cab backhoe loader. I bet JCB were a bit miffed as the backhoe loader was their invention all those years ago!!!
So, the future of Mecalac dumpers is looking good under the Fayat Group banner and our partnership with them will hopefully continue to grow as we look to implement mutually beneficial activities that enhance the product support offering for Benford, Terex, Terex/JCB and Mecalac dumpers here in the UK.
