Simply Husqvarna plate compacting

Husqvarna plate compactors, also known as Husqvarna vibrating plates, are essential for any paver project, foundation slab, or pathway that needs proper compaction. Before using one, always read the operator’s manual and warning labels, and make sure you’re wearing all PPE recommended by the manufacturer.

Here’s how to operate a Husqvarna plate compactor whether it is a LF50, LFV60L, LF60LAT or the much loved LF75LAT

Description

  1. Check your fluid levels and confirm the machine has the correct fuel.

  2. Move the compactor to the work area. These machines are heavy, so get help if needed.

  3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  4. Set the throttle to halfway.

  5. If the engine is cold, close the choke to allow more fuel into the engine for easier starting.

  6. Pull the recoil cord to start the engine. It may take a few pulls.

  7. Once the engine warms up, open the choke fully.

  8. Increase the throttle until the machine begins to vibrate. Keep one hand on the handles—once vibrating, it will start to move on its own.

  9. Guide the compactor over the work surface until you achieve the desired level of compaction. You may need to moisten the material to help it compact properly.

  10. When finished, clean the equipment so it’s ready for the next project.
