Husqvarna disc cutter – basic techniques

Husqvarna disc cutter – basic techniques

whether it is the K540I, K770 or the revolutionary Husqvarna K1 battery power disc cutter

Description

Get a Secure Grip – on you Husqvarna disc cutter

Hold the rear handle with your right hand and the front handle with your left. Maintain a firm, wraparound grip with both your thumbs and fingers around each handle.
Position the blade guard so the rear section sits flush against the workpiece—this helps protect you from sparks and spatter.
Before beginning any cut, make sure you’re stable, balanced, and standing on solid footing.

Making the Cut – with your Husqvarna disc cutter

Important: For both safety and comfort, never cut above shoulder height. Use a platform or scaffold—not a ladder—when working at elevated positions.
Bring the cutting blade to full throttle before touching the workpiece, and keep it at full speed through the entire cut.
To reduce risk of injury from possible kickback, stand parallel to the blade rather than directly behind it.

Stay Safe – when using your Husqvarna disc cutter

Always keep a safe distance from the blade whenever the engine is running.
Do not force the tool or push the blade sideways—cut straight and let the machine do the work. Side pressure can damage the blade and create serious hazards.
