Baaaaaaaaaa…. Don’t be a sheep

When it comes to excavators, without any shadow of a doubt the market leaders are Takeuchi and Kubota. Wherever you go in the country its predominantly those two makes that you see working by the side of the road or on a house development site. Both owner operators and hire companies have them in their fleet and both manufacturers, across their ranges, are generally good machines. There’s always certain models in a range than are ‘weaker’, but nobody ever got sacked for buying the market leaders!!!

However, there are other manufacturers out there who have equally good machines but perhaps don’t get the recognition they deserve probably due to the lack of promotion and drive by the manufactures. It’s no coincidence that the two market leaders mainly only make mini-excavators and don’t make large excavators, dump trucks, dozers etc like Volvo, Komatsu and Hitachi do and therefore the majority of their marketing and sales efforts are in selling mini-diggers.

Next time you’re thinking about buying a new mini-digger don’t be a sheep and follow the herd, think outside the box and perhaps differentiate yourself from the competition. Instead of turning up with a light grey or orange machine, how about turning up in a Volvo yellow and grey one? The range of Volvo mini-excavators go from the 1.5 tonne Volvo EC15E through to the 9 tonne Volvo ECR88D and one thing the competition won’t be able to do is out dig a Volvo.

Volvo are now pushing their range of mini-excavators and there are some cracking deals to be done on both machine pricing and on finance deals. If you’re thinking of purchasing a mini-excavator and don’t want to be a sheep and want to stand out from the crowd give Mike or Laura a ring who’ll be more than willing to introduce you to the Volvo range of mini-excavators.
