GAP Plant Hire has expanded its attachment fleet with the purchase of ten new SB102 hydraulic breakers from Epiroc, strengthening its ability to support contractors across construction, demolition and utilities projects. The investment reflects continued demand for compact yet powerful breaking solutions that can be used with the mini-excavators commonly found on modern job sites.

The Epiroc SB102 hydraulic breaker is designed for carriers in the 1.1–3 tonne class, making it well suited to smaller excavators frequently used in groundworks, landscaping and urban construction environments. With a service weight of around 90 kg and an impact rate of up to approximately 2,300 blows per minute, the attachment delivers efficient breaking performance for materials such as concrete, brickwork and natural stone.

Epiroc’s Solid Body design integrates the breaker mechanism into a single cast housing, reducing the number of internal components while improving durability and simplifying maintenance. Additional features such as an energy recovery system and built-in pressure relief valve help increase productivity while protecting both the attachment and carrier machine from excessive stress.

By adding the new breakers to its fleet, GAP Plant Hire ensures customers have access to reliable, modern attachments that can be deployed quickly across a wide range of site applications, from light demolition to trenching and site preparation. The investment further underlines the company’s commitment to maintaining a high-quality hire fleet capable of meeting evolving industry requirements.
