It should give Thwaites dumper owners and anybody thinking of purchasing a Thwaites dumper confidence that, even in these uncertain times with our current incumbent government trying to squeeze whatever little business confidence there is out of the market, Thwaites have invested heavily in building a new 4300sqm parts facility at their home in Leamington Spa. This new facility is also dolphin friendly with 1483 solar panels on the roof which is enough to provide 33% of the future power requirement of the Thwaites manufacturing facility. If we’re being brutal you can say that they’re not being dolphin friendly just trying to save money but as the payback on solar panels is between 7-10 years you can see the long-term approach they are taking for their business. Even that long-term approach is getting scarce these days as that requires confidence in your products, customers and the economy and most businesses don’t look further than this week’s sales, next month’s forecast of sales and cash in the bank.
As the largest supplier of Thwaites parts in the UK PES look forward to the opening of this new facility and the continuation of a relationship we have with them that goes back to the turn of the century. With the forecast of 15% improvement in Thwaites production the availability of machinery will get better and PES look forward to supporting this increase with parts supply to keep Thwaites dumpers on site earning money rather than parked in a yard waiting for parts.
