Description
Overview
The EC65 sits in the mid-range of Volvo’s compact excavator lineup and is built for versatility across construction, utilities, landscaping, and agricultural work. Compared to the previous generation, it features increased engine power, stronger lifting capability, and improved swing performance, making it more productive in demanding conditions.
A major upgrade is the completely redesigned operator environment, with an 8-inch high-definition touchscreen, improved ergonomics, and enhanced controls—bringing features typically found in larger excavators down to the compact class.
Performance & Capabilities
The EC65 is engineered to deliver strong digging and lifting performance for its size:
- Around 4% more engine power than its predecessor
- Up to 9% increase in boom lifting force
- Improved swing torque and stability on slopes
- Double auxiliary hydraulic flow for running demanding attachments
These upgrades allow the machine to handle a wide range of tools such as breakers, augers, tiltrotators, and hydraulic thumbs with greater efficiency.
