PES, the largest stockists of Yanmar TNV engines in the UK can offer Yanmar 3TNV70 engines to go in the John Deere Gator range of utility vehicles.
The John Deere Gator is fitted with a Yanmar 3TNV70-AJUV which is a 3 cylinder, naturally aspirated, 0.854 litre capacity diesel engine which produces 17kW@3600rpm.
PES can supply a replacement engine for this with full manufacturers warranty and the correct timing cover on from stock, all you have to do is swap a few build specific externals from the old engine to make it to the correct spec. With the Gator this includes the sump as this is unique to the Gator and can’t be purchased through Yanmar, only through the John Deere dealer network.
If you can’t be bothered to change these few parts, just head off to your local John Deere dealer who will remove you of between £6500-£8500 depending on whether you have a nice smile!!
Tricky choice I know, but when you’re paying less than half for a brand new engine its worth taking the time to swap a few parts over.
