Since Barford site dumpers went into administration in 2010, PES have managed to keep supplying electrical parts for the Barford SX, Barford SXR and Barford SK dumper range by a mixture of sourcing parts using the original Barford suppliers or by cross referring them to a Thwaites, Benford, Terex, Terex/JCB and Mecalac parts.
With over £750k of dumper parts on the shelf, ready for next day delivery PES are able to supply most electrical parts from stock for Barford SX, Barford SXR and Barford SK dumpers.
For those of a certain age who can remember hand-start Lister Petter engines, Barford dumpers are not that simplistic but as they finished producing dumpers before legislation made Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB and subsequently Mecalac manufacture dumpers with DPF and ECU controlled engines, the Barford SX, Barford SXR and Barford SK dumpers tend to have more basic electrical functions. This means forward/reverse levers, road lighting kits, switches, sender units, ignition switches in fact most electrical items are still available from PES stock, the only thing we struggle with is electrical looms for all the range of Barford dumpers.
