It was great to catch up with a few customers on a quick visit to Jersey on the Channel Islands last week. With the demise of Flybe, transport was provided by Blue Islands who offer a first-class service but not very good flight times in and out of the Island to make the most of a full day.
What the pictures don’t show you is the incredibly windy weather I had on both my outward and inward flight. Winds between 50-70 mph pummelled the coasts so it was a little bumpy at times and extra challenging in the afternoon when the rain and thunder decided to join in with the winds party.
You can see East Devon up to Sidmouth in the pictures as well as the approach to Jersey in the other. The pictures also show the view of the beach from the Gun Site Café on the South coast of the Island St Aubins Bay.
I have been making regular trips across the water for many years now and always enjoy a visit to the Channel Islands as the people are so friendly and accommodating.
If anyone has never been across for a visit, I can certainly recommend it.
