Husqvarna construction equipment has evolved over the years from several different companies. Originally it was the light equipment side of Dynapac which was bought by Atlas Copco in 2007 and branded as Atlas Copco, only the larger equipment of Dynapac was still branded under the original name. Then 10 years later when Atlas Copco split itself into Atlas Copco selling selling pneumatic equipment and Epiroc selling hydraulic attachments, they divested the light equipment side of it to Husqvarna. This meant that Husqvarna now had a concrete finishing and compaction arm to go with its cutting, sawing and drilling operations.
Here at PES our association goes right back to the Dynapac days and by default we are a Husqvarna construction dealer here in the south-west. Originally the ‘small tools’ ,as we call it, were sold by the salespeople in the field who went around their respective territories selling Volvo excavators, Thwaites dumpers. Winget mixers and Epiroc hydraulic attachments alongside plate compactors and concrete finishing equipment.
Although, within our industry, we are not quite ready for ‘click and add to basket’ for our diggers and dumpers, when it comes to small tools which are a relatively low value item the market is definitely going on-line. With this in mind PES are in the process of launching a Husqvarna construction equipment on-line portal so that customers can order their compaction, concrete finishing, cutting, sawing and drilling equipment as well as dust extraction equipment on-line whilst relaxing in a hot tub, having a cheeky beer in the pub or simply sat at their desk at work to be delivered the next if in stock or 2-3 days for a larger, non-stock item.
Using all the knowledge and experience gained by launching our web shop for dumper parts some 5 years ago, this completely new website will be dedicated solely for the purchase of Husqvarna construction equipment with real-time stock information and product information to help you purchase the correct item. We hope to have this website up and ready for the start of 2025 and will keep you updated on progress as we go along. The site is being built by Ampology Digital who are a Devon based company who built our web-shop for dumper parts which has been a tremendous success, beyond all expectations, and is now the leading site for Thwaites, Terex, Terex/JCB, Mecalac and Barford dumper spares in the UK. Husqvarna have also helped with marketing, product information and general assistance and between the three of us hope to produce a market-leading web shop for on-line sales of Husqvarna construction equipment here in the UK.
